I have about 20 easter eggers... they're laying fine and all appear healthy. I'm just wondering why some of my eggs have small white spots all over them that wash off. I s this just chicken butt goo? If it is why would some of them be perfectly clean? And while I'm on the topic, an occassional egg will have a few small hard bumps on it, I guess just a little extra calcium deposit or something? I feed Dumor layer and they free range all the time.
Thanks for any help.

my barred rocks have those. i dont know what they are

hmmm I don't know.... one of my EEs used to lay green eggs with little speckles all over (didn't wash off) and now she lays blue eggs with no speckles. I thought that was kinda weird.

Usually just excess calcium. Nothing to worry about. In your hens egg laying career you'll likely see lots of little oddities.

I forgot to mention there are about 5 barred rocks in the flock too.
