White Spots on Rooster's Comb

So my rooster has had these small white spots on his comb for months now, and I wasn't too worried about them before. But since they're still around I'd like to know what they are and how to treat them.

The first picture is him in the spring/summer, and the second picture is pretty recent. They definitely seem less prominent now, but they're still there. I've already ruled out fowl pox.

I was reading some threads here that sounded similar.

Here's a reply on one such one by @Wyorp Rock that I would try. Yours looks very similar, but not as bad as this one. Take a look and see what you think. There are some other helpful replies below that too.
