I could really use some help here. I have 4 White Sultan hens. 3 of the 4 have this growth on them. I started using Neosporin on one bird the last couple of days (without pain relievers) and it started to improve. The first pick is of that bird. I put her inside, since it was so cold outside and put another WS who was bloody from being picked on so they could get a chance to recuperate. I put them back outside today, since it is warming up and noticed two others have the same growth. What is it and am I on the right path? Suggestions? BTW, I checked all the rest of my flock and no one else has this.

It could be injury from sticking the beak through wire/fencing or on the edge of a feeder.

Possible it's a Papilloma, but if you have 3 with similar issues, I'd lean towards injury.

If the ointment is helping, then I'd continue to apply it and see if it heals up completely.

Thank you so much for your input. The girls are in with other birds, but they are by far the smallest and the only ones with this issue. I'll keep an eye on them for now, to see if that is it.
