I've seen these "things" in my chicken's poop for quite a while now. I can see that they are not going away even though she is the only chicken I have left and we've move to a completely new state. She's a Barred Rock and I found her about a year and 1/2 ago.
I have always suspected that these are eggs of a worm but I've never seen a worm in any of her droppings. She seems healthy.
The whitish dots are about the size of the head of a pin, soft and squishy.
If you have a suggestion or if I just need to treat her for worms, that'd be good to know. I have not done any kind of treatment because I'd hate to be without eggs for a couple of weeks. Selfish me.

Do they look like these "things?" It sounds like tapeworm segments. Most worms don't usually show in the poop, but if they have tapeworm, they definitely show. That pic shows what they look like and also gives the treatment, from a very reliable source.

That thread is a good on for worming questions in general, with some other good pics.

x2 Sounds like tapeworm segments for sure.

Wow, I think you are right on with the tape worms. My cats have had them in the past but I didn't think the chicken did.
I'll check out the appropriate wormer and tackle that problem.
Thanks a lot.
