I had ordered two from the feed store for my kids, these are the ones that are all black with a white top not, and one died when we got that really cold night, and I can't seem to find any at the hatcheries there all sold out. I was wanting to know if any of you chicken lovers had any chicks I could buy? I live in Pea Ridge AR right next door to Rogers AR. Thanks

Oh, I am sorry you lost one of your birds. You might stop by your state thread and chat with your chicken neighbors. Maybe someone nearby you has some of these birds or know where you can get one or more....https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/37675/arkansas-folks-speak-up

You can also try our Buy Sell and Trade section too. Look around here for some possible leads....https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/67/buy-sell-trade

Maybe even the Polish thread will find you some leads as well...https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/585953/i-have-to-talk-polish

Good luck finding a buddy for your lone Polish. And we do welcome you to our flock!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about the loss of your chick :hugs TwoCrows gave you some good links to check out. Good luck in your search. I think Ideal had at least straight run White Crested Black Polish available in October a few days ago.

White crested blacks are beautiful birds. If you buy straight run you will most certainly have some roosters to deal with.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm sorry about the loss of your Black Crested White Polish. Definitely post on the links that TwoCrows has provided for you. We're glad to have you.

I'm sorry for the loss of the chick! I hope you can find some more of the same breed!

Thanks to everyone. Its kind of funny really had a hen sitting on eggs when these chicks arrive from the feed store. Four days later my hen hatched four little chicks I've always read and research that you could introduce chicks to a mama hen at night as long as they were all around the same age so she took the babies that really helped me out no more lights or cleaning out bedding I bought the top knots for my kids because their friend had one running around their farm, and they fell in love with it so I thought it would be interesting to have them never had them before we ended up with a couple top notch the golden ones too but we lost one of our black ones and I wanted to replace it just to make sure that we get a hen and not all roosters. Thanks again i'll chech out the links.
