White vs. Black Silkie skin coloring

I have both a white and a black silkie and I have noticed that the black silkies skin is just black, while the white ones' skin is blue. The white ones beak is also a blueish color with a green band. Any thoughts on this?

I do not know - but wonder if the skin looks lighter because of the feather color?

I am sure I am wrong, but here is a bump. I am sure someone knows - these threads just move along so quickly and get buried fast.

Pretty typical. The black birds tend to have darker skin and comb than those with ohter plumage colours.
