Last year i purchased a few white guineas to add varity to my flock, they are solid white.

This spring i hatched out some eggs from my flock and all my white offspring have pearls on all their feathers, is this normal, i never had white so i do not know.

I also have royal purple, lavender, pieds and pearls so i do not know what mating made this occur, but my guess would be the lavender to white.

Heres a photo of mom and growing keet

Here's a close up of the pearls on white.

I'm not sure what cross would have made that, but how neat!! I can't get that close to my guineas unless it's dark outside!

I'll have to look the color up again but I think that's opaline. I've got a couple of them in my flock. They're coming out of my lavenders.

Or they might be porcelain. Hard to tell by the pics I found on the net.

Thanks for the link.

She is totaly covered in spots and stark white no hint of any other color so i don't know what type she would be considered.
