No, I am not sure, it could definitely be ink if some sort.Are ou sure it's not marker? Sometimes hatcheries put marker dots on some of the chicks...
They could also be Red Shouldered Yokohama, with small amounts of the red color.
I also think the dots were put on with a marker.I found these 5 chicks at Tractor Supply labeled as Exhibition White Yokohama straight run. 2 if then have very clearly defined brown dots on their heads. Does this mean anything? Are they really Yokohama?
