Whiting True Blue x Leghorns

Reading about the blue egg gene and Whiting True Blues it seems that they must have two copies of the blue egg gene to breed true for blue egg color, right? If that’s the case and I order some Whiting True Blue roosters and breed them to my leghorn hens, those chicks should lay blue eggs, right? Or is it more complicated than that?

Lighter blue, but the chicks that hatch will lay white or blue if their parents are leghorns or the crosses

I bred a WTB roo with white leghorn hen. They laid a light blue eggs almost everyday. They where white with some black spots
