Whitish liquid poo? Should I be worried?

She seems otherwise OK. First thing this morning when I let them out of the coop my EE about 6 months old made this strange poop. It was liquid and whitish beige in color, and stank to high heaven.

Her eyes are clear and she seemed perky enough. What is this? A precursor to egg laying?

have you giver her any treats?

i know when my girls get a lot of fruit it changes the poop and it is a little more runny and could stink out anything...

If you look at your chickens poo you will notice much of it has some white attached to the top of it. The pure white in chicken poo is the urine part of it. If they are eating a lot of grass and free ranging this is pretty normal to have runnier poo. Mine go from runny to hard depending on what they eat. Grass makes it a lot more runny then normal. If it stays runny then I would keep an eye on her and see if there are any new symptoms.

Thanks! Yeah, they got watermelon yesterday and they just went to town on it. I just checked her a little while go and I couldn't really get a good look, she's hiding in the forsythia and made good time trying to get away!!

SO she's certainly NOT lethargic!

I'll keep you posted!
