I have noticed recently that a few eggs I’ve cracked have a whitish yolk. I think the same hen must be laying them, as I cracked two more the same size and color. I cracked another colored egg next to them that was obviously not laid by the same hen, and the yolk is normal. We’ve eaten a few eggs from other hens in the flock, and they are all the normal yellow/orange. Any idea why? They all eat Dumor Layer feed offered 24 hours a day, with occasional grass clippings and whatever they find in the dirt.

Thank you.
Not sure why, but odd that only one bird in the flock has these.
Agreed. They eat the same thing, and are in the same fenced in yard. Unless one of them doesn’t eat the grass clippings…so strange. I cracked like 5 more eggs tonight. Her egg was white, and the other 4 (laid by different hens, I cracked a blue, drank brown, cream, and slightly darker brown egg than hers) had normal yellow/orange yolks.

That's weird, but kind of cool looking!

I have nothing helpful to add, but my birds yolks were very pale on Dumor (not that pale though) & they brightened up when I switched to a different brand all flock. I don't think Dumor has any marigold in it to help with color, or at least thats what I remember, but it was years ago. Certainly doesn't explain ONE egg though...
