Who’s the father? (And what is the father?)

My neighbor offered me two mixed breed chicks, and when I asked what breeds they were she told me she didn’t know which rooster it was, or what breed the roosters. They’re hatchery somethings, and the mother is a hatchery buff Orpington.

First one could be one of those melaninistic layers, they're very handsome. The chicks daddy is the red one.

Apparently it’s a ‘mystic onyx’. I still don’t know what the red one is though.

Yep, that's a hatchery Silkie mix designed for dark skin. The second looks to be a Welsummer with frostbite
