This is Becky, an alleged Barred Rock. She is about 8 weeks old. Way lighter than the other 4 BRs and substantially cooler. Bigger than the others though delivered in the same batch, exponentially more laid back and just generally awesome. She has the vibe of a BR, but isn't.

Any ideas??

Wonder one of their hybrids, or just a poorly marked Rock. If a hybrid maybe a Rainbow, though I would expect her to be larger. I suppose there's an outside chance she's a prairie bluebell egger.

No, it’s called leakage. I’ve seen barred chickens like this come from hatcheries before. I believe they’re some type of hatchery-bred barred layer hybrid.
