Who am I?

10 days old.

The kids call it Eagle. Obviously it is a chicken, not sure the breed or sex. This is our first batch of chicks.

I have the exact same colored chick that I believe was my "Free Rare Chick" and she is now 4 weeks old and I was hoping she was a BR! I will try to post picture of her so you know what you might be able to expect. I have to go to work right now so it willbe tomorrow before I can do it. I love mine so far though!

It is a Barred Rock. I see 3 characteristics in that chick that resemble Barred Rocks.

1. The striped feathers.
2. The white dot on the head.
3. The black stripe running along the top of its toes.
I have raised 4 generations of Barred Rocks (In chicken years, that is), and they all looked like that.

yeah, the skin color on my marans are lighter, took me a while but I found a pic of my babies. So I will have to agree to the barred rock

barred rocks are awesome. i have two and they are the first ones to jump on your lap.
