This is a picture of my "rare exotic chick" which arrived today from McMurray. I know the pictures aren't great and that they make him look just like a normal yellow chick, but I thought I'd see what you guys think anyway.

This chick is a bit larger than my Red Stars and and Easter Eggers. I'm assuming he's a rooster since it seems that'd be a clever way to get rid of the extra boys! He's got a several black dots on him. One is between his shoulders and the other is on his head, he has some black on his little wings too. He is much fluffier than the others. He is also much more active. His legs don't seem to be placed as far back. He seems shorter legged and a bit more solid.

Yuppers - that's what they usually do, send cockerels as packing peanuts! That's a little chunky one - what a sweetheart! Are his shanks feathered? Seems like in the 3rd pic, I'm seeing a bit of fuzz on his legs?

Murray McMurray has a really big thing going for them that they like to send you roosters!

I'm certainly no expert either. Wouldn't the Frizzle already be...frizzled? Do they have clean feet?

Here's a few pictures of my JAPANESE BLACK TAILED WHITE BANTAMS as chicks and then a few rooster juvies I have: (could be that!)

4-5month Japanese BTW Bantams

Good Luck with finding out! I just love our Japanese bantams, that's why we have chicks, I ordered 10 but got 17!!!!

Wow, NC29mom!

Those are gorgeous birds. I hope that's what he is, but he's very yellow.

P.S. - He's probably not a Bantam as he's bigger than all the other chicks I have.
