Hey, everyone! I am new to the chicken game. I can't say enough how much these threads have helped me feel prepared. I received my baby chicks from Meyer Hatchery last Thursday, the 18th. Unfortunately, one of my chicks was DOA, and another (a swedish flower hen) died within 3 hours of arrival. I now have 8 babies and would love your help figuring out the breeds of two of them. Both of these chicks are from the Rare Breed Assortment. The yellow chick has furry legs, so I was thinking salmon favorelle, but she only has 4 toes. The grey chick I was thinking is a Lavender Orp, but she doesn't quite match the photos I find online. I would so appreciate if you could tell me what you guys think! Thanks!

The first looks to have a single comb so I’ll guess Cochin.

the second looks to have beard/muffs so probably an Easter Egger of sorts. Likely one of the “hatchery hybrids.”
I agree. Color of the Cochin I'm guessing is buff. There is also a chance the second is a Blue Ameraucana since I believe they're carried by Meyer. When it gets older, check skin color! I will say now though, it's skin looks more yellow which Ameraucanas do not have

This is so helpful, thanks so much!!

I cannot believe how fast chickens grow! I swear they look a little different day by day. I love looking at photos showing chick growth so I thought I’d throw these here. The Cochin is Phoebe and the hybrid is Aida. Aida’s skin doesn’t look yellow to me, so I’m not really sure what breeds she could be mixed with. I’m thinking time will tell! She is becoming one of my favorites, always cocking her head when I speak to her as if she is trying so hard to understand what I’m saying
