Are egg selling farms on here reliable,I gues what i'm asking ,can you trust them to deliver what eggs you ordered?
And not just ship you a bunch of different breed eggs?
I do wont to believe that some on here are trusting ,can anyone tell the the best or the ones that you have used in the past ,with success at getting what you payed for?

There are review buttons or feedback buttons, people that buy or sell get feedback, look for someone with positive feedback and read the responses.

If you click on their name it is the last button, it looks like this:

Trader Feedback (0)

That button (above) is yours...

My Feedback (+3)

That button (above) is mine... I have three feedback, you have none.

GOod Luck.

Most of the large hatcheries are very good at sending you the breed you ordered. Some folks here are not crazy about the large hatcheries birds because they want show quality chickens. I am more concerned with egg production and the size of the bird for meat use. Don't get me wrong, I want nice-looking birds. I just don't care that much if they're not meeting the "Standard of Perfection" to a tee. There are some great deals on some fine birds over in our "Buy-Sell-Trade" section here on BYC. Check em out.

Shipped eggs usually show up with a little "scrambling" of the air cell. They can require a little more TLC prior to incubating like being allowed to set upright for 24 hours, and no turning for the first few days. Use the "search" function here to find whatever you can on who is good to deal with and read about how to hatch "shipped" eggs. You will be glad you took the time and put forth the effort.

Just curious, what breeds are you looking to buy?

Bigoledude, I'm just like you, I won't the eggs to eat and to incubate for me and the small town I live in. Population 809,everyone has been asking for me to start raising Plymouth Rocks. So I'm looking for Plymouth Rocks. My wife won't let me raise for meat for us. But she doesn't mind selling them to others.lol.

"Rocks" and Rhode Island Reds are by far the most popular American breeds sold today. Maybe the hybrids outsell them. But, I don't consider them a pure "breed" so-to-speak.

My favorite "Rock" is the Silver Penciled Rock. I saw some of "Wynette's" Penciled Rocks and those suckers are absolutely fine! She sells them here. The Barred Rock is also a nice looking bird with tons of egg and meat production. Your townsfolk would definitely enjoy both of them.

Trade the eggs and an extra roo for processing of one for you...

You go with eggs and two roos come back w/o eggs and with a 'packaged' chicken...

I've been doing research on the Barred Plymouth Rocks, if l can't get a pure breed Plymouth. guess I will settle with the Barred Plymouth strand.
