Huh. She better still lay me some eggs!!!!!!!
I think EEs are just more woke then other chicken breeds. I didn’t even realize my girl was homosexual till yesterday, when she started to try and mate with the other girls. She also rejects my cockerels mating advances, going as far as ripping out his tail feathers when he tries. It might just be a hormonal imbalance causing that, but I doubt it.

I think she’ll still lay eggs for the same reason hens without a rooster still lay eggs.

I have heard stories about about hens taking the place of roosters... they grew big spurs, started crowing, grew roo feathers, and stopped laying... so it may be possible...

That might be what is happening in your situation, as it is more common than an outright lesbian hen, though my situation is another story. I already have a wonderful cockerel, I don’t see why she would become one.

This all just goes to show trans and homosexual chickens exist, and I’m all for them. We could do with some more LGBT+ representation in more species, I mean clownfish and giraffes already did it.

And then I have another EE who also steps in poo and jumps on my back. But she is also kind of a snuggle bunny if you catch her at the right time.
I have four EEs, and none of them are that rude.

I have Amelia, my wonderful laying pullet, and she flys. That’s really her whole personality, she flies and runs.

I have Rosalie, and she doesn’t care. I can go and pick her up, she won’t even flinch. She is also at the bottom of the pecking order, so maybe that’s why.

And then there is Georgie Girl, my lesbian girl. She is adorable, she really is. She was my profile for a long time.

Prince. The cockerel. Cuddle bug, listens to me, follows me around, he does all the things my pullets refuse to.

And my pig. She isn’t an EE, she is the only one that isn’t actually. Take every negative trait about chickens and that’s her. Take every positive trait about chickens and that’s her. Take that as you will.

Haha, I don't think that's my situation. Everyone seemed extra feisty this morning. Sometimes I feel like they still haven't established a pecking order that everyone agrees with. 🤣

Mine don’t give a frick about the pecking order, except for the bottom girl. And the top girl. They both are the only ones that care about it. The other three just exist, somewhere.

I could really go on and on about their personalities... maybe because there are 11, and it takes a while to describe them all. So don't get me started, and I'll try not to get myself started.
