She eats just like any other chicken. Crumbles instead of pellets, but other than that, it’s basically the same.

Yes! Crisco (one of my pullets) has started laying, and her first 3-4 eggs were laid in the nest box, and now she is lazy and lays on the ground.

That is inconvenient. Now they are easy to step on!

I did find 3 eggs on the floor in the course of 2 months. I almost stepped on them every single time

In a giant red feed tub we have so they can get out of the rain.
