What special care do they need? There is no other poultry living with my chickens.

Well, if you do get them, then you may have to trim down their crests. I don’t, but mine don’t live with any non-crested birds (other than my crossbeaks). If they do get bullied, they can become greatly injured or die, so you have to be prepared for that. Mine are completely separated from the other birds because I have dealt with my polish being bullied, and it’s not pretty. They are blind and a bit clumsy sometimes, so they just need extra care.
