Ok, so you guys know I got cochin bantam chickens. So we got a call from the wilco, and they said that they were actually d'uccles! Does anyone know anything about this breed? Will they go broody and hatch chicks?

Ok, so you guys know I got cochin bantam chickens. So we got a call from the wilco, and they said that they were actually d'uccles! Does anyone know anything about this breed? Will they go broody and hatch chicks?

I have heard of the breed but don’t have any. I believe they do go broody and are good mothers, but not 100% sure.

I don't have a rooster , but peanut went broody over nothing and I couldn't break her for a month and a half

Most likely, yes. Bean’s Cochin went broody at about 7 months, and I know she will be broody in the future too.
