Who collects vinyl!?

Now Spinning: Spillage Village - Spilligion

View attachment 2817780

Hit my local record store today. Found a 1971 Allman Brothers Band Live at Fillmore East! Some minor pops and static but overall sounds good. Also found Vince Gerauldi-impressions of Orpheus, Sly and the Family Stone greatest hits, and some Moazrt!

Nice, splatter vinyl, I've got a couple they are cool.

@Floydie
I am currently spinning on an AT-LP60XBT and it makes me sad lol. I am thinking I want to upgrade my table. What would you reccomend between $4-600? I have been eyeing the AT-LP5X, the Pro-jects, Music Halls etc in this price range. It is all a little much to take in, knowing little to nothing about different styli etc. So help a brotha out. What would you choose? Why? Thank you!

DH says..

"Dont get hung up on what you play them on, enjoy them.
I have an auomatic deck, a jvc qly5f which is brill, its just press to play
I make turntables for a living so I have loads of them all over the place. I am a big pedant too so everything has to be perfect.
You should be able to get something like my jvc for less than 400 dollars. Learn how to set a cartridge up though if you do, its important to get that right."

He does all that so i dont have to worry about it, hes a pain in the backside for messing with things to get them to sound better

Love vinyl recordings as I still think they are superior to anything else. I don't have a huge collection but I have enought to keep me happy when the mood strikes to listen. I love old 78's and 45's especially. Honestly, I think 45's are the best out of them all! ;)
