So I think we have settled on our breeds of chickens (but not 100%) as being Black Jersey Giants and Golden Laced Wyandottes and Dominiques. We would have the Jersey Giant as a rooster. Now since he will be a giant and the hatchery we will purchase from declares they lay extra-large eggs, would the Wyandottes/Dominiques have a problem laying eggs? Like would they become egg-bound?

Thank you for all your help!!

the hen will always determine the size of the egg --- fertilized or unfertilized

wyandottes/dominiques will lay the same size egg that their breed is known for

Just to add to this conversation. I had mediun to large layers (Sapphire gem, marans) crossed with silkie rooster, and all their egg sizes look like that is my Silkie. They are quite small. I'm trying to find a larger rooster breed so we can hatch chicks that lay normal size eggs.
