Who done it? (picture attached)

Hi everyone,

Any idea who done this? Luckily all of our chickens are safe (alive) but they do seem really vocal and shaken up.

Being new to all of this, I am assuming a raccoon? I have hardware cloth buried underneath the coop but it was no match for whatever this was. it ripped right through it!

Looks like a coon track to me.

On the apron.....it that attached or just laying on the ground?

Needs to be attached. Apron gets bent, leaving a short upright L, with short upright leg attached firmly to vertical wall.

That way, when they start the dig.....which is always at the crotch......the corner where vertical meets horizontal, there is no edge to grab and pull on. Only solid wire.

Thanks for your reply...The apron is not attached...It is just stapled into the ground with landscape staples. I will have to modify it to attach it.

If you have a game camera, put it up. Most likely the predator will be back. Good luck...
