Who else is setting... I wanna see pics!

I think I might have a weepy egg. One of the non-pip eggs has a single drop of liquid suspended on the side.... not in a humidity way but in a 'came out of a hole in the egg' way. Could this still end up being a hatch or is the droplet a bad sign?

Does the liquid have colour? I haven't had many but the weepy eggs I've had weeped yellow/green/brown liquid. Is it clear? Could it just be adroplet that fell from the roof of the bator perhaps?

wishiwasjane Do a sniff test on it...or better yet have your 13 yr old daughter do it...

my weepy egg....looked like droplets on the egg...kind of greenish dark in color...best way to describe it would be like mucos when you cough up thick gunt.

I wiped it at first I didnt know what it was...later...2hrs later, I went back and it was the same thing, so I took it out.

Okay - just candled under my broodies and thank goodness I did. Their since of smell must be broken because there was a sticky, weepy egg under one of them. I think they are sooooo desperate to have their own eggs they don't want to give up even rotten ones.

What's a mom to do...

Don't 5 year old boys like gross stuff and potty humor???

They only like that stuff when they initiate it. When they are tricked into it? not so much.
