okay.. It's between 60-70%... am I drowning them?

All my quail did good at that humidity.
I have just had one chick "stuck" and it did not do well when I helped it.
So I am not sure what to suggest....

Any progress on the quail?
Day 14 for mine & nothing so far.
I've been messing with the hatcher. The wafer went bad. The 2nd wafer (it comes with 2 thermostats - one as a back up) wasn't calibrated, so I tried to set it last night when I went to bed. I had to put the buttons in the bottom of the incubator & the cortunix are still in the turner.
So this morning, I come down to a hatcher at 94.7 degrees.
Good thing I didn't have any eggs in it. So I'm trying again. Waiting for the temp to stabilize so the cortunix can go in. The buttons are staying in the bottom of the incubator - in the hatching tray.
I guess a temp of 95 is ok for chicken eggs to hatch, but I wasn't sure about quail & I don't want to screw them up.
It's at 97 degrees now. I'm gonna put the cortunix in there.
I prefer the electric thermostats.

ETA: I totally typed the wrong word! It's all better now.

I just set my incubator to hatch this morning. Got humidity up to 64%.

Today is Day 14 for my coturnix.

My 1st pip is still working on an escape

In the mean time. I went outside, fed the chickens, changed the water, filled up the oyster shell and cleaned up etc. etc. when I came back in, a different egg that hadn't even pipped was hatched!

Now, just one more hatched quail please so the little guys doesn't have to be alone in the brooder tonight.

Why couldn't they all hatch that easily?? 5 more eggs to go (that includes #1)
