I built the MissPrissy incubator to use as a hatcher. I was fortunate to have 2 pieces of glass to get nice viewing windows. I'll post a pic when the camera battery is recharged!

Day 16 for me too.

Ive only candled twice and Im not doing it again im so nervous that I shake, so I don't want to drop any eggs! My husbands sat on the other sofa playing World of Warcraft with his head set on and Im sat her on BYC trying to find out as much as I can about what to do when/if the little guys hatch!

Ive got a brooder, heat lamp ect that im going to set up at the weekend. They're going in my frontroom so that we can stare at them all day. Plus its very bad weather here at the moment and my DH hasn't finished my rearing/utility room. (Thats my excuse and Im sticking to it)!

One of the little quails looks like it has gimpy legs and it isn't walking as well as the others. The are like severe pigeon toes.... sucks. But 2 r healthy lookin and the next one is zipping really fast! I hope the gimp straightens up and walks!

I was trying to find the link I saw before, but it's been awhile... no luck.
Basically, you spread the chick's toes out where they belong and make little boots by putting tape on the top & bottom of its feet so that the tape sticks to itself & holds the toes in place. Some people use cardboard on the bottom of the feet if the toes are curled at all.
