Well I did a "bad" and opened my broody incubator tonight to check for fresh laid eggs. I didn't hear peeping but I did hear scratching in the egg!

I promise I will try not to mess with the bator again. (She nips anyhow

Well, this is my last night of work. No buttons yet... maybe they'll be runnin' all over the 'bator when I get home in the morning.
I'm tired... not much sleep. Spent my sleep time with DH in the ER - dislocated shoulder. All better now.
Him, not me, anyways.
So there goes day 16.
I sure am getting creative with ways to pass the time.
No more ER visits, though. They cost too much.

I locked down this morning!!

I can't hear or see anything not sure if/when I will?

Its my first day back at work today as Ive been off for the summer holiday break, at least I will only be doing one day a week as my DH works like a dog, bless him.

It's 2:45am. I came home on my break from work to check on DH. He's doing better. Gave him some pain meds & came down to check on my quail. No quail yet.

They're just waiting until I'm off work. That is so sweet of them.
I'll be off for a week starting in about 4 hours. DH will be off too, since he decided to take his arm off. We can watch the quail hatch as a big, happy family. Me, DH, DD, & DS all sitting around waiting fo these stinkin' little birds to hatch!!!

They have 4 hours to get ready... then they better start coming out!!

Ok... 8am now. I was a little concerned, so I candled one of the buttons.
Still movin'!
It actually looked as though it might have an internal pip. I'll give them more time... I'm at least relieved that they're still alive.
I hope they hatch today because my chicken eggs go to lockdown tomorrow & I wanted to put them where the buttons are. That will give me the best view!
Hopefully next time I post, it will be pics of buttons!
