Who else is setting... I wanna see pics!

yes, that is Mabellines! the one that has the wax and the other one is also, and then one of Jewels!!! Im so excited, yes I thought of taking off some of the wax alittle...but didnt want to open my bator....so Im watching it. Been pipping and rocking since about roughly 8pm last night.

was wondering how long they can last doing that before they run out of air in the shell

One more iz zipping right now. That makes 15.
5 more to go, but none of them are pipped. Like I said before, though, they all looked good going into the hatcher. I still have high hopes for these last 5.
I have some really pretty ones.

So since I'm new to this I'm just noticing, (like in that last pic) that people hatch eggs in the cartons. Can you tell me what the advantage is? I have over 20 eggs going into lockdown tomorrow and if it really matters I could put them in cartons.... thoughts???

IMO... using cartons is much easier. It keeps the hatched chicks from rolling the hatching eggs around, helps keep your eggs organized by breed/species, makes clean up TONS easier!
There's probably other reasons, but those are the main ones.

Those are the reasons I decided to do it, and I hand turned all of these all the way until day 18 in the carton and it made turning easier as well

LOL!
Wow, that was easy!

Let me try something else...
