Who else is setting... I wanna see pics!

Anyone looking for fertile chicken eggs I have a backyard variety dozen for sale. I ship out of Florida and I get at this time of the year 85% hatching rate. Schools and Homeschoolers love this Surprise dozen.

These eggs are a mixed of Rhode Island Reds, New Hampshire Reds, Arucanas
and morans. All large brown egg layers. Check out my website for all the details.

Happy Hatching - I have 48 hatching on the 18th.

One still has not hatched!!!!!
It has pipped and is talking, I can see it's beak.

HELP!!!!! I want to "help" so bad...first ones have been in there around 20 hours now.

farrier - let me distract you for the moment...

So, what do you think of your golden lakenvelders temperment - wise? I had a pair and they were rather standoffish. They got rehomed, but I have an EE X GL pullet now. She is also ummm "skittish".
Just wondered if you have had the same experience with the breed.

I think they are absolutely beautiful though.

Still no pips for me.

Paganbird I sure hope they pip soon!

pbjmaker There is a difference in temperament between the Golden and the Silver. Also a bit of a size difference. The Silvers are a nice sized bird.
The Goldens do hang back but have been great with the free ranging. No problem with calling them in and no problems with them roosting in the coop at night.
I like the silver a bit better but they were also the first chicks we ever got...

The golds do not free range as far from the coop as the silvers...

If all the others are done, I'd be helping it at that point.
