What breed?! That's a crazy time to be laying! I'll have to get my hands on whatever breed you've got lol.

That's really young, what breed of chickens do you have?

3 of my 6 started laying almost a week ago.they are only 14 weeks old so i was suprised when my wife found them. barely bigger than a golf ball. can't wait for the other 3 to start.

My entire family is now asking Any eggs? Whenever someone comes in the back door. I guess we all have the egg anticipation . Our flock is now 18 weeks old so hopefully not much longer to wait.

So my girls are 18 weeks, (1 leghorn, 3 ees, 2 rir, 2 barred rocks) I was talking to someone in my town with chicken and they were shocked we haven't had any layers yet. From the research I did when they were chicks my leghorn could start laying soon but the rest won't start for a few more weeks.. or is that not right?

That is right. Most breeds start laying between 20 to 25 weeks.

FIRST EGG TODAY! my rsl comet decided to lay us a BEAUTIFUL speckled brown egg! Only thing is that she decided to lay it next to our ac unit instead of the nest boxes!

My girls are 14 weeks now... I check everyday getting too anxious!!! All i get are big turds! Lol.
