20 weeks is not 'late' at all. One of mine started at 21 weeks. I'm still waiting on 2 others. If they are hatchery sourced, they should start laying within the next couple weeks. So our australorps are still not laying!!!they are 20 weeks and I am anxiously waiting for their "rent". Any one have some lay this late? I am blaming it on the heat wave![]()
Does anyone know what age english orpington start laying
Its starting to feel like "if I can just get 1 chicken to lay 1 egg, it will validate all the time and money put into building a coop and run and raising these chickens." Its like planting tomato plants and not getting a tomato.
Ha Ha you are so right!Yes, yes all of you say you just want one. But know that is the gateway egg. Next is 2 then 3, 4 or 5. Soon we expect them all to lay all the time!!!![]()
P.S. I love duck eggs too!!!
