Who got rain?? WE GOT RAIN! ...and this...!

Only 1/2 inch and it came down in about 15 minutes. The "flood" must have flushed out snakes because I found my cat toying with this last night...a baby rattlesnake! By the time I ran to get the hoe it was in the brown grass/dirt BUT it moved and I nailed it. Scary to think how small but still the same deadly venom!

The cat was fine...the snake was more afraid than the cat.

Yeah, Austin didn't get the rain we did. Usually it hits Austin first and then dies out between Manor and here, but not yesterday because it came from the north east.

Gah! Keep the snake but send the rain. We are soooo parched! (North Central Texas here).

My tank is so low, that my donkeys were able to sneak out around the fence that borders it and they went walkabout. (I fetched them back, but it was hot and miserable.)

Hope kitty was okay after her great adventure.

Yikes...scary snake...even if it IS only a baby.

We got some of that rain here too...no snake, but my friends had a TORNADO!!! Knocked down a couple trees, blew out 2 upstairs windows...SCARY, but noone was hurt.
