Who has a Buff Minorca?

I'd kind of like to compare notes, see if my BM's traits are shared with all other BM's.

Mine is nervous and flighty, more flighty than my Leghorns.

She's very vocal and loud.

A friend of mine bought my Sandhill Buff and Black Minorca chicks....they are very flighty but superb layers. And they do talk loud...typical trait...not for city living

I have two Buff Minorca hens. They're both good layers, averaging around 4 eggs per week each. They are the comedians of the flock, very nervous and flighty. When I hand feed them, they both think they have to make a big show of "sneaking" up to my hand and grabbing the treat. They then run around in circles while squawking and flapping their wings like crazy. I guess they think they really got away with something! I did clip their flight feathers for their own protection.
