Who has a chair in the coop....

I have a feed bucket with a lid and I sit on it and talk to my girls and they chatter back

I know I have a chicken fettish but I can't help it. I fell hard and I fell completely in love with my little chicken birds.

This is so funny!

We call it the chicken bench and we just this very night put one in the ground with railraod like tie posts and buried it! My husband's idea! Yeah, you have to have a chicken bench!

I thought a chair in the run was mandatory!

I have a cheapo resin chair that I tilt against the wall. Hens sit in my lap, steal my smokes out of my hands, and generally conspire against me. I let them free range and they'll follow me anywhere. When I get the chair, they know it's time to come home. I think one of the greatest compliments is to have a dozen hens preening themselves around my feet and trusting me enough to watch the world so they can sleep on my shoes.

I love my birds!

Can't tell you how many times I've been tempted...but we resort to a chicken picnic...we sit cross-legged on the grass while they free range. We treat them to bring them closer to us.

--does that count?

yea lol, i think that counts, i have no chair but i have a big automatic feeder that i sit on.....chicken TV is also so inexpensive......it will become more popular once people realize they dont need a digital converter to watch it

If there were room in our coop, we'd have 4 chairs in there, and space for the dog, too!!! We usually set our chairs out close to the coop; that's my favorite time of the day! Sometimes I have big ideas to read the newspaper or have a cup of coffee while I'm out there with our little guys and girls - but, I've given up on that!

I have my brooder box set up on 2 little tables and I put a little stool in beside it , so I can sit and play with the chicks, check their little vents and also let the grandkids hop up on the stool and look in at the chicks....(supervised)
And summer evenings spent sitting out under the tree next to the run watchin our birds.....AAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhh cant wait!!!!!

I did at one point. Last night as I was watching them all get settled on their roosts, I was wishing I had a window in the coop door so that I didn't have to hold the door slightly ajar to watch.

Now I have a number of chairs outside the run (some up on the pool deck) and one next to my brooder on the back patio.
