I am going in a slightly different direction, I am working on my "farm" ecosystem to better support and increase my population of Mason Bees/Orchard Bees. The Mason Bee is not a social bee and therefore do not make honey. They are known to be more efficient at pollenating an area than the honey bee. I want better fruit yield from my fruit trees and blueberries and won't need to worry about the honey aspect. Mason Bees are great to watch, don't sting, people are not known to be allergic to them. I have a topic in the same category as this one on my project with pics of the houses I made a few weeks ago. When the Mason Bee is done by July then my garden will be full of bumble bees doing their part.
