Who has seen a silkie like this?

She's pretty isn't she? Her father is a white silkie who's split to lavender, mother was a porcelain D'uccle. So she inherited one copy of the lavender genes from both parents, meaning she is lavender + dominate white. Father also is dominate white.

Indeed. Once you get mixed flocks who knows whats going to hatch out. Honestly i think thats why I still incubate. I am a slightly disappointed when obvious looks like the others chicks pops out.

Earlier this spring, I gathered five silkie eggs thinking at least 1, or 2 to be mixed, nope all were pure silkies. It's wonderful for that to happen.
