Who has the oldest chicken??

Jacie, your art is amazing!!! I know you said you do it just for fun, but would you consider doing some for someone to buy?

What do you need done? As I've said before if I start selling it then it becomes work! That's what has happened to my egg art. I have to sell them because of the materials involved but it does take out some of the fun.

Just let me know what you need and we can talk about it! LOL! I guess it seems strange when someone insist on NOT getting paid for something:lol:

I totally understand about fun becoming work. I've danced (ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, etc. ect.) all my life. Two years ago, I opened my own dance studio....although it is still fun....it has somewhat become just work. Anyway, I just think chickens are so cute and I also have this weird liking of outhouses, so a pic with chickens AND outhouses....that would be cool. But, please, don't feel obligated.
Keep doing what you do...it's wonderful

Do you have some pics you want me to use. If so just pm them to me.

I know about the dance studio thing. I had one for almost 10 years. I loved working with the kids but I was still going to school and raising babies. My oldest thought he owned the studio along with the church nursery because he was usually at those 2 places.

What genres of dance did you teach? To be in business almost 10yrs., that's pretty good. Any advice for me?!
I'll take a look at some pics I might have of my chickens and outhouse stuff and pm to you. It's very nice of you to offer.

Well, mine isn't 17, but he hatched in 1994, so he is 14!

Here's Turbo, an OEG BB Red Bantam at 12 years old. He looks a little more rough now, but has sired quite a flock over the years. See the "grey hair" on his head? His spurs are very long and need to be trimmed. He gets around fine for a geriatric...

I have a blue cochin bantam hen who is 14. My other old gal was 15 and passed away a few months ago

. Bleu (the cochin) even got attacked by the flock about 3 years ago, and they split her skin from one side of her head to the other-she had this baggy skin flopping down by her ears, and her skull was totally exposed. I took her in the house, warmed her up, and sent dh to the farm store for some antiseptic. I sewed her back up, and she's still going strong to this day-she's got a mean scar though!
