Who here has a small flock? I have three Hens I'm raising in my small backyard

BruceAZ My gals have a supervised free range every afternoon and pretty much all day on the weekends. They can get pretty noisy when they think it is time to range. However, I had one girl who was noisy all day and started early in the morning. Sadly she has passed away now. However, I found that a radio in the coop, softly playing classical music helped to keep her quiet. In fact, they all seemed to enjoy it.

i started with letting them out for about 1hr-2 hour each day around 5-6pm.. since they will go in on their own at sunset

there were a few times they ran out when i opened the run around 8-9AM (for cleaning)

and that was it.. they will create this low noises for me to let them out starting from morning since then

now they are free ranging but still make these really loud noises when they are ready to lay each day

today.. 2 chickens fighting over 1 nesting box! while the other one is free..

i have 2 nesting boxes for 5 hens--

i'm not looking into "quiet" chickens..
