Newbie questions?

I'm looking for a Macro for a 4/3 system, 50mm-100mm. Or do I need one at all ?

Last night I tried to take a picture in a dark coop with my Olympus Pen epl1, and it was too dark for the zoom camera to adjust. The camera wouldn't take the picture without light. What did I do wrong?

I never used the macro setting b4... I have only had this camera for a few months... but it's pretty nice. this spider was hanging on the edge of a mailbox, and it's only about 1/8" now for my new obsession... finding teeny things...!

I like to use colored fleece blankets (light blue, black, green). Flowers are nice too. I use fake flowers in winter. I was told you can paint the inside of a cardboard box and put them in it and they can't get all crazy, so you can get better shots that way. :)

Wow great pics.
LOL BACK IN THE DAYS, WHEN FILM WAS IN LOL
Heres the camera we have of course the fancy 35 mm, with all the lens, and filters. The 5×7 camera,8X10 camera yup the one that needs cover over the person that takes the picture if anyone knows about them the negative is the size 8×10 which =s a perfect photo (before all the cameras that are new today) then of course the two in quarter camera its the one that you have to look down on to see what your image is. Lol this is when you had light meters around also.
Then of course THE DARKROOM, the enlarger was a positive you had add the colors, other enlarger was called a negative, which you had to take color out (you are working with three colors on both enlarger) there was a lot of other stuff like papers, trays and others.but it was so fun.!!!!!
I really miss those days.

Hi folks...Such pretty pics and talented people on here...
this is my go at it. Love taking pics of our critters, nature, and architecture.

our wannabe flock guardian Dozier. He watches over them but they chase him off.

Jake our oldest female Rouen, she loves to pose for the camera.
