For those of you who shoot a lot from your car, I've got a question:
My friend Mike says it's best to kill your engine when you take your shots, but I haven't noticed any difference between engine running versus engine off. Do any of y'all kill your engines? Do you notice a difference?
Thanks!
It probably depends on if you have any vibration reduction tech in you camera or not. Mine has it in the lens so I have no problems, but w/o any in the camera it could make getting a crisp infocus image harder.
I do have the vibration reduction technology in my lenses, but when shooting flying birds, it can actually work negatively in your shot, reducing clarity. I don't remember if Mike shoots with it on or off, which would affect his opinion. I tend to shoot with mine on, only off when using a tripod.
I guess any vibration my car could make wouldn't really make that much difference...
