Who here Owns horses??

I only have one right now, a 7 year old black and white paint mare. I would love to have more but unfortunatley although I have several acres most of the land is pretty steep and not really suited for horses. I have to keep the one I own at a local farm.

This is my Tennessee walker, Maggie

FREE HORSE... I'm moving in a few months, and we cannot take Smokey... anyone near Pendleton Oregon need a been-there-done-that cow horse, parade horse, 4-H horse...? He's 22 years old, NO HEALTH ISSUES ... dosn't need shoes... Mustang/Appaloosa cross. I don't know how to upload pictures yet, so I'll describe him as black, big blaze face, two white hind socks, and white spotted on his rump. No swayback, no diet problems, no arthritis, and a great zest for life. If someone tells me how, I'll be happy to upload pics.

I'll have to see if she'll let me get a picture of her....I don't know that hers is catarcts though....The person I got it from though did say it was very common in white horses...the appys specially....I thought they called it Moon Blindness(or at least hers)....I did search it alittle on line and kinda came up with the same 'moonblindness' thing...She's had it for about 2 years before we got her, and we've had her about a year now....She does just fine out in our pasture with the sheep, goats, and llamas...She loves to be ridden and is very well trained...She has wonderful training in her, just needs to beable to let it out....the weather will hopefully warm up here very soon, so that she can do more...

Casino has the white in her eyes, but I think she can see shadows out of one eye. We don't ride her, because she is so unsure of herself. She is just haning around looking pretty and eating!! My step-son has been on her, but just to see if she would ride. She will but walks behind someone better. She does not like men much, and I am the only one that can catch her!!(with a bribe)

Speckles isn't a GREAT lead horse...she does wonderful following other animals/horses....Although when you work with her she does wonderful...very sure footed even with her bad eyesight...it's more so when riding trails that she doesn't know about....She runs our pasture with no problems...even knows where the dips/valleys/hills/trees etc.etc. are...She love love love to walk the roads when we are out...It's almost as she's listening to her own footsteps on the roads and is so comfortable that at times she will act like a filly agian instead of a 12+ year old blind mare....

I have one. A retired Thoroughbred.

This is an older picture. Right now he is a muddy mess. I just love this time of the year.
