Who is going to the Southern CA meat-up?

Who is going to Norco-Neil Snipes Park on the corner of 5th Hammer on April 6th? I am debating wheather I should go. I live in Central Coast CA I am going to LA on April 6th anyway! Should I go? I probably wont be able to bring any chickens though but I will love to see everyone elses chickens! If I do bring a chicken or 2 they are not for sale or for trade they would be there to hang out! So I want to see who else is going! Does anyone know how long it takes to get to that park from LA?

Just saw this post......We ususally get anywheres from 30 to 40 people and because it is spring..............a gazillion chicks, ALSO Norco has a ton of chicken farms that have just about anything U are looking for there.
OK, from Downtown LA [ 5 and 10 freeway junction] it would be about 55 miles due east.


Since I do not know where exactly U will be at: U would take the 60 freeeway out to the 15 south [that is approx. 50 miles] go to the 6th Ave exit on the 15, turn right at the top of the ramp. First stoplight is Hamer, turn left go to the next street that is 5th turn right and go about 1/3 mile up a rise till you get to the parking lot on the right side of the street. Very EZE to get to....

Where abouts in LA? You could always get directions from LAX to give you a general idea, or google directions from the location you'll be at.

IDK really where I am going in LA yet. Ya I know that sounds weird. I am going for an audition and since I will be in Southern CA I thought well maybe I can go! I might not be able to go though cause if I went I might have to stay in LA over night and I have to get home to close my chicken coop.

Oh.. could you please post the details? There might be other lurkers out here who are just not that brave to ask... It sounds like fun. I wish I could go but I do not have a free weekend till May. Is there other meetups later?

What we do: In the spring there are always lots and lots of chicks for sale, people bring excess roos to give away, people swap birds, usually there are handmade goodies for sale that peeps have made AND we talk shop, you can talk about chickens forever and no one will think U are strange...hee hee You can also find out about chicken clubs and showing chickens as well. Learn about new breeds, see the sky is the limit.... I hopet hat ansswers some of your questions.....Sue
