who is laying LG speckled dark brown eggs??

Some of our Golden Comets lay dark brown eggs and sometimes they are speckled.

Our Barred Rock lays fairly dark brown eggs that sometimes have speckles (last year they did, this year they don't). I think our old Buff Orpington's eggs were lighter brown.

Are you sure its speckeled we had eggs we thought were speckled until we scrubbed them with a rough pad and it came off. Im gonna say its the rocks. Not normal but possible.

One of my Barred Rock hens lays brown speckled eggs. The other hen lays a nice smooth lighter colored brown egg.
