Who is laying the eggs?

I have 10 hens and a rooster. I have 24 nests but only 4 have eggs in them. One nest has 3 eggs, one has 2, one has 6 and one has 30. My chickens are Domineckers. Is the nest with 30 eggs in it coming from just one chicken, and if so how do I find out who she is??

My first question would be how long have the eggs been there that you have 30 eggs in one nest? Are your hens broody?

Sounds like you haven't collected eggs for a few days, and they have a favorite nest.

Looking at your profile, looks like you are trying to get them to go broody, but sorry, you can't make them go broody. If you want chicks, your going to have to incubate them yourself if you don't have a broody hen. Just because they lay eggs doesn't mean they will hatch them.
