We have 7 pullets. At least three are laying. Here are the breeds. Can you even tell the eggs from these breeds apart?

Here are the eggs we have collected so far.

It's going to be tough to tell based on photos, but you might be able to figure out at least some of them if you spend time out with your chickens while they are laying eggs and check frequently.

Any of those breeds can lay any of the egg colors in your photo.

But each particular hen will tend to lay fairly consistent eggs-- so if you figure out who laid the speckled ones, or the lightest ones, or the darkest ones, you will mostly be able to recognize them in future.

(With 7 pullets, you will probably have a few that lay matching eggs, and every now and then one will lay a not-normal egg just to keep you guessing.)

Mine are all brown egg layers and it's taken me a year to figure out who lays what! Lots of observation ( one lays in afternoon that helps ) I have 2 completely different breeds that lay a darker brown one. So good luck I've heard you could mark their vent with lipstick ? Or I dreamt it?

My Orpington Brahma mix lays brown speckled eggs very similar to those two you have, could be coincidence or breed specific. Super helpful, I know lol. I'm currently trying to figure out how many new pullets I have, I swear it was just two but I keep finding extra eggs in the nest box and just laying around randomly and it's a full on mystery now. All shades of cream, some peachy, some with white speckles, a few look more mauve tinted, and then there's a more off white color. I don't know if it's just various levels of bloom or actually different colors. I think the coop camera sounds like a good idea.

I heard about this trick, but haven’t tried it. Put some food coloring on the vent and then match the egg to the chicken. Of course, if it dries, then not sure if it works, but maybe some googling is in order…
