Who is ready for spring??

Oh I am soooooo ready. We're likely to be camping with 3 kids & animals for the next few months. No washing machine, no oven, only a mini fridge. NOT FUN!
The garden beckons- but I've learned my lesson about planting too early. Seems every year we get a "freak" frost or freeze. Even so- I can't wait for the GREEN!

oooh, Happy Mtn, thanks for the warning...the reminder to be patient. I already have almost every possible spot under the lights filled with seeds, and that's only the leftover seed - I just placed one online order and have no idea how to fit it all! I want more chicks too, but somebody (hear that my dear SOMEBODY?) needs to build a bigger coop and fence the backyard. I've spent hours today looking at seed catalogs and coop designs. But I need the time, gotta wait, need to heal up a bum shoulder and back. And what other time to drink warm herbal tea all day?

It is raining and freezing AGAIN. There's a pile of muddy footwear in the garage, a pile at the front door, a pile at the back door, and who knows whats in the backseat of the car.

I've bought/ordered so much for the garden that I oughta just pay someone with a real plow to carve out the front and back grass and be done with it. Somebody stop me! Wait, no, I just gotta have every color of cherry tomato...red, yellow, orange, chocolate, striped, green...aaaah!
And chicks! OMG! I can't go to the feed store because they MIGHT have chicks already. No will power. Will have to send my DS or DH - and if HE can't resist, well, then, it's not my fault...

SPRING??? Didn't you hear - the groundhog said 6 more weeks of winter and I think he's right this time - it's snowing here right now!!!

Me too!

I'm tired of hauling warm buckets of water out to the ducks, I'm tired of the dogs refusing to walk and lying down in the snowbank because their paws are freezing (YOU try carrying an 80-pound dog inside - it's not fun), and I'm tired of wearing three layers of clothes and still feeling cold!

Winter has it's charms - I do love seeing everything covered in a soft, shimmering blanket of white - but I'm ready for spring!

ME! I started going out to do chores early so at least I can carry my feed and water and not sink to my kneecaps. I hate winter anyway, and having to deal with the weird weather we have these past few years is really depressing, so say nothing of the extra expense. I can live without AC if I have too, but heat is sort of nice to have!!!!

Sigh.ME.
