Welcome! The surprise batch looks like would be a ton of fun. I primarily wouldn't do it because I'd hate to get things I don't like or can't handle yet. On Cackle's big in store sale Thursday I so wanted to get some heritage turkeys for $4.99 each but don't really have a setup for them yet. Once the pasture is finished being refenced I can get what I want lol.

So far sounds like you've got some good breeds. Fingers crossed on the rest!

You ordered a bit late to get the geese and ducks. They generally stop selling ducklings in mid July and geese often before that.
I have a pilgrim geese pair and they are awesome. I'd never have another type myself. I don't put up with aggressive animals. They are unfortunately a rare breed and 2 years now have had no luck hatching any. Last year 4 out of 6 I put in the incubator got almost full term but the Incubator malfuntioned and killed them 2 days before due to hatch. I also left her 6 to sit on 6 and about a week before due to hatch we got flooding rain which flooded where she chose her nesting spot and she abandoned the nest.
This year, I didn't try incubating any just let her go broody after she had 6 or 7 eggs. She sat on them for about a week and for unknown reason just stopped brooding. Craziness. Guess I'll try the incubator next spring again. Will need it for next years chickens anyway.

Your chicks are so cute. A nice variety.

Yeah I'm not much into any bald animal lol. The turkens just look weird to me lol

I am ordering another surprise box in the spring. I figured it was a bit late. I have rabbits also. I just want me a big farm but only have 4 acres lol. I have ponds that are just begging for some ducks or geese lol. Maybe next year. Sorry for your luck with your geese, maybe in the spring you'll have little gosslings just running about!

I sure hope so. They'll be happier in the pasture too.
I have 3 acres. I also have bunnies, but I have too many pets lol. Eventually I will have dairy animals in the pasture with the horse and future fowl lol.
Yep order in like late April or early may for the best variety in the surprise mix.

Aww cuties. Mine are almost 4 weeks now. They are only half fluffy now lol,in that gawky feathering phase.
