We've had heavy spring rains recently resulting in tons of earthworms dying on the sidewalks and drive. Now, I'm not saying I'm a chicken addict or nuthin' but....this morning while walking back from my son's school, I picked up the ones that were dead but had not yet dried out, to give the girls as a treat. And now my hands stink, despite washing in soap several times. Who knew?

They should of been freshly dead

. I found out that my neighbours chickens love sun-dried earth-worms.

Not sure what you mean? The ones I picked up WERE freshly dead. Are you saying they would have preferred them sun-dried?

Try the onion trick: if your hands smell like onions after cooking, rub them on stainless steel. maybe it will work with other odors also.

we once had a catfish in a 55 gallon tank in our house and when we feed it night crawlers bought from the store it took a while for it to notice. but when we caught earthworms from the yard it would pick up the scent quickly.
