Ok, so I got five broody hens at this time. I was gonna be all meticulous and write down the chicken name, number if eggs, day one, 10 day candle results and perspective hatch date.
Who knew that when three broody hens get off their nests at the same te they just hop on the first available nest when they come back?
So now I only have two hens on their original nests and since they all pretty much started sitting on different days, using names has become totally obsolete in keeping track of the dates and other stuff.
My solution is to assign a number to each nesting box.
Crazy chickens...😂😂😂😂😂

If they all started sitting on different days and the hens rolled eggs back and forth between nests, you will have to manage this. The mother will eventually abandon late hatching eggs to start caring for the chicks.
Next time, you might want to consider keeping your broodies in an arrangement where they cannot easily access each others nests and maybe keep it to no more than 2 broodies.
What are you going to do with all these chicks? And the boys?

the nests are in separate boxes . All eggs in each nest are the same start date. They are just switching nests. When more than one gets out to do self maintenance they come back and get on the first nest they come to whether it's the one they started on it not.
